Creating an Inclusive Learning Environment for All

Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

At ALP Business School, we are firmly committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment where every individual is valued, respected, and given equal opportunities to succeed. We believe that diversity enriches our educational community and enhances the learning experience for all our students and staff.

Our commitment to equality and diversity is not simply a legal obligation—it is a fundamental value that underpins everything we do. We actively promote an institutional culture that celebrates difference, challenges discrimination, and ensures that all members of our community can achieve their full potential regardless of their background or characteristics.

We are committed to complying with the Equality Act 2010 and all relevant UK legislation relating to equality, diversity, and human rights. Beyond legal compliance, we strive to create a positive, welcoming environment where everyone feels they belong and can contribute meaningfully to our academic community.

Support for Students with Disabilities

ALP Business School is committed to ensuring that students with disabilities and learning differences have equal opportunities to participate fully in their education and achieve their academic goals. We recognise that disability can take many forms, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, mental health conditions, and specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia or dyspraxia.

We will work closely with students to understand their individual needs and implement appropriate reasonable adjustments. These may include:

  • Extended deadlines for coursework and assessments
  • Alternative assessment formats or methods
  • Additional time in examinations
  • Accessible learning materials in alternative formats
  • Assistive technology and specialist software
  • One-to-one support from specialist tutors
  • Flexible attendance arrangements for online or on-campus sessions
  • Note-taking support or lecture recordings

Students are encouraged to disclose any disability or additional needs during the application process or at any point during their studies. All information is treated confidentially and used solely to provide appropriate support.

Reporting Concerns and Seeking Support

If you experience or witness any form of discrimination, harassment, or unfair treatment at ALP Business School, we encourage you to report it. We take all complaints seriously and will investigate them promptly, fairly, and confidentially.

You can raise concerns through our formal complaints procedure or by speaking directly to your tutor, programme leader, or our student support team. We will ensure that anyone who raises a legitimate concern in good faith will not face any detriment or victimisation as a result.

Our goal is to resolve issues quickly and effectively whilst ensuring that appropriate lessons are learnt to prevent similar incidents in the future.
